Canvas
Canvas sheets are availble as either Thin canvas sheets which are available as pads, Ready to use Canvas Panels, pre-streched canvases.
The advantages of pre-streched canvasas is that they are convinient as they are already primed with an undercoating and are ready to use.
Canvasas are available at all art stores, online art material dealers and some office stationery suppliers.

Oil Paints
Oil paints, as the name suggests, are oil based. Oil paints are available in tubes of various sizes and the paints are also available in two qualities.
Student grade oil paints are suitable for beginners, but, for a serious painter it is always suggested that they buy the higher grade oil paints for their
their excellent quality.
Oil paint tubes are available in a set or they can be bought individually. Intially, it is suggested that you buy paint tubes individually and select the colors
as per the painting you intend to start with. White color which is most commonly used can be purchased in a bigger tube.
It is better to restrict your purchase of oil paint tubes to a limit initially as most of the colors required can be prepared by you by mixing various colors.
Oil paints are generally very slow to dry but you are suggested to keep the caps in place on the tubes once used and during storage.
